Ashlyn & Alex

"Alex and I met through a hobby that we both loved. He would be flirty but I didn’t think much of it, until eventually, his flirting worked. I remember our first “date” was us going to breakfast in the morning after we both had worked long night shifts. I realized that I loved him about 3 months into our relationship. I thought I was going to end up saying it first, but surprisingly, he did! Some time went by, and we got a dog together. He is the light of our lives, and we are so excited to bring him with us to our new home? We had been talking about needing to get professional photos done because all we really had were selfies here and there. So I booked photos with a photographer I actually went to high school with (shout-out Lindsay!) and we went to Speedwell Forge to get them done.

For one particular pose, she had us standing on a dock, me facing away from Alex, and usually, she would have the guy come from behind and hug the girl as a “surprised” type of picture. Well, in this case, I turned around, and there was a different type of surprise waiting for me- the man that I love on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. It was such a special day, and we are so glad that we have these amazing pictures to look back on for the rest of our lives. We are so excited for our wedding and for our future together!"
