"Dave and Melissa met in San Francisco in June 2021. Both had recently moved into the city: Dave - from North Carolina - after leaving company command at Fort Bragg and starting his first civilian job at a tech company; Melissa - from garage studio in Palo Alto - after seeking a more urban environment while finishing her medical residency at Stanford. They matched on a dating app and no less than an hour later, were sharing their first date with tacos and punch bowl. The following months, they would explore San Francisco on the back of a moped, share many frozen Trader Joe's pizzas together, and attempt to find any bar that would air Eagles or Seahawks football games. Dave's job took him first to Austin and then Lake of the Ozarks (Missouri) but the two remainder closely connected and never apart for more than a month. Once Melissa graduated residency in June 2023, they moved to Lancaster together. After long last, not only where they living in the same time zone or state, but also under the same roof. Dave proposed the day after New Years 2026, at the summit of the Mirabel-Courchevel Valleys in the French Alps. Obviously, she said yes!" 💍⛰️
