About the Couple
Scott and Lauren both work for the Pennsylvania Treasury Department. Scott is an IT Manager and Lauren is a Tax Examiner. The couple spends most of their time with their children, and can often be found attending cheer competitions and soccer games. However, they make time for themselves by going on walks, going out to dinner, and playing games.
Scott and Lauren’s Love Story
Scott and Lauren met at work when coming back from a department meeting and had their first date shortly after. A few months later, Lauren introduced Scott to her children. Lauren says, “Watching the kids and Scott build relationships over time only made me fall in love with him more. I couldn’t have asked for a better man to help raise my kids! We have learned together that family isn’t defined by last names or blood, but by commitment and love.”
The Proposal
Scott proposed to Lauren during a trip to Bethany Beach. They went out to dinner and then enjoyed a walk on the beach. On their way back to the boardwalk, Scott got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. He caught Lauren off guard and her initial response was “no, no, no,” which quickly shifted to a resounding “YES!”
The Wedding
Scott and Lauren got married in September at Whitney Chimneys, surrounded by friends and family. Lauren’s son, Dylan, was the best man and her daughter, Alexa, was the maid of honor. The rest of the wedding party included Scott’s two nephews and Lauren’s niece. Their ceremony featured a unity puzzle to show the pieces of their family coming together to become one.
Lauren says that their wedding day was everything she had ever dreamed of and she can’t wait to see what the future holds for their family.
Koser Jewelers’ Role in their Love Story
Scott and Lauren greatly enjoyed their experience with Koser Jewelers, which Lauren says was amazing from the very beginning. The couple worked with Josh, eventually finding the perfect ring in the Hearts on Fire line. Lauren loves both her engagement ring and her wedding band, and she is looking forward to adding more Heart on Fire pieces to her collection in the future.
