It’s time to meet another of our incredible Koser Couples! Today, we will “meet” Kayla and Shane!
About the Couple
Kayla and Shane both love spending time with friends and family no matter what they are doing. Some of Kayla’s favorite things to do are exploring new places and visiting different wineries. She also enjoys exercising, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants. Kayla says “Shane comes along because he knows that I enjoy these things but he would spend all of his free time hunting if he could!”
Kayla and Shane’s Love Story
Before she ever met Shane, Kayla worked with Shane’s mom and they became best friends. When Kayla was first introduced to Shane, she was dating someone else. After that relationship ended, Kayla and Shane some time really talking for the first time at a party. They ended up laying under the stars and talking for hours!
For their first date, Shane took Kayla out to her favorite restaurant, Devon’s in Hershey. Shane had never been there before but he ordered some things on the menu (having no idea what they were) just to impress Kayla. Fortunately, he ended up liking everything he ordered and they had a great time together!
The Wedding
Kayla says of their wedding day: “Our wedding was the wedding of my dreams and the time of our lives. It could not have been more perfect. We had everything from a martini bar featuring an ice luge that the martinis dispensed out of, to a fresh seafood station, sushi station, Italian meat station, the list goes on and on just for our happy hour. Our DJ was fantastic, everyone was up and dancing! We had a late-night cigar roller with custom K & S labels on each cigar. We didn't want the night to end, so we had an after-party featuring 15 fresh New Jersey pizzas and drinks in our bridal suite! Everyone enjoyed themselves and we couldn't be happier or more blessed.”
Koser Jewelers’ Role in Their Love Story
Kayla also had some wonderful things to say about Koser Jewelers’ role in their love story: “Koser helped Shane to pick out and create the most perfect engagement ring and wedding band for me. When Shane was picking out the engagement ring, he had no idea what ring size to choose. One day, it dawned on him, I would always wear my late great aunt's ring on my wedding ring finger. When I wasn't home, he snatched the ring from my jewelry case, called Koser, and said ‘I am on the way but this ring cannot be missing from the jewelry case for long!’ Ryan was waiting outside with a ring measurer, got the size, and Shane quickly returned the ring to its home.”
For his wedding band, Shane spent some time perusing the internet for a ring he would be willing to wear for the rest of his life. He came across a ring that symbolized a duck band. Shane's favorite activity is duck hunting so he was set on having this ring as his wedding band. Kayla thought there was no way Koser would have such a specific item, but to the couple’s surprise, Koser had exactly what Shane was looking for. Both of their bands were custom made and Kayla says they are “absolutely PERFECT!”
