What does "Like a Boss" mean anyway?
You may have received some of our mailers or seen some of our billboards with statements such as "Kneel Like a Boss," "Sweep Like a Boss," "Treat Yourself Like a Boss," etc. If you're not familiar with the popular catch phrase, you may be left confused. Allow us to explain what we mean.
"Like a Boss" as defined by the Cambridge dictionary, is an informal way as saying that someone does something very well.
We like to define a "boss" as:
1. An individual who is awe-inspiring, envy-inducing, challenge-crushing, respect-commanding, fiercely loyal, and superior to any mere mortal.
2. One that exceeds the expectations every time. While nobody is surprised by the end result, they also never saw it coming.
3. Used to describe something that is excellent or first rate.
So when we say "Kneel Like a Boss," we mean , render her speechless with an epic proposal that she'll tell the world about with a ring that she won't be able to take her eyes off of.
When we say "Sweep Like a Boss," we mean give her a gift so stunning that it knocks her off her feet and makes you an instant hero.
When we say, "Treat Yourself Like a Boss," it means buy something beautiful for yourself because you're worth it and you deserve it.
That's what "Like a Boss" means to us. Now you know.
