- enjoys anything with food and wine, and will try anything twice, after that, if he doesn't like it, he won't touch it!

- has 4 grandsons, and hopes to take each on a special trip as they turn 10, took the first to Montana in 2006. Carol's grandson said, "Grandma, our trip was like a dream!"
- enjoys her pets: 2 turtles Erin and Christy Brown (who is missing his left foot and is the foster of her daughter-in-law Flloyd). (Yes, Flloyd is a girl.)
- loves the outdoors: hiking, Hawk Mountain, wildflower gazing, and going home to Somerset County where she was born.
