I just read a great quote from Michael Kors, "Give me a perfect roast chicken, and a room full of women wearing major jewels and I am happy." I couldn't agree more, especially if I am one of the women wearing major jewels! Well, you know you can stop in Koser Jewelers for the "major jewels," and here is my mother's recipe for the perfect roast chicken. I think this is the epitome of comfort food and an elegant dinner all rolled up in one! Bon Appetit
Gayle's Perfect Roast Chicken
Preheat the oven to 500
Rinse a 4 pound chicken, dry it. Salt and pepper the inside. (Don't waste your time trussing it. You have better things to do...) Butter the skin, then follow with generous amounts of sea salt and pepper over the entire surface of the bird. Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
Put the chicken in the oven, so that the bird is a couple inches from the burner and brown the skin. Usually around 15 minutes. Once the skin is brown, turn down to 350 to finish cooking. Usually...

Aquamarine is Emerald's clear cousin. Both gems are part of the Beryl Species, and Aqua is often inclusion free.
Aqua's name is believed to be from the idea that it protects its wearer as they enjoyed the water.

Inspired by the weekly "By The Numbers" page in Time magazine. This week I read in Time that the average car on the road in the US is 10.4 years. I found that shocking, and maybe some of these numbers related to gold will be equally shocking to you!
